A welcome appointment

Blackburn Rovers, founded in 1875, have a rich history in English football. David Dunn, a notable figure in the club’s history, has recently been appointed as the honorary president of the 100 Club, an organization dedicated to supporting the Rovers and in particular the youth academy.

Dunn’s association with Blackburn Rovers is significant. He made his debut for the club in 1998 and, over two spells, accumulated more than 300 appearances, contributing significantly to the team’s successes during his tenure. His appointment as honorary president of the 100 Club underscores his enduring legacy and the high regard in which he is held by the club and its supporters.

Dunn’s new role as honorary president will involve engaging with current and former players, fostering a sense of community, and promoting the club’s storied history in their up and coming 150th year celebrations.

This appointment not only celebrates Dunn’s personal achievements but also highlights the 100 clubs ’ dedication to acknowledging and preserving the contributions of its players throughout the club’s long-standing history.
